Intro to Photography
Ages 7-14

This 4 day camp, led by Jennifer Shaw, will offer students an introduction to the art of photography, through hands on projects exploring cyanotypes, pinhole cameras, and the basics of photographic composition. This program is offered in partnership with the New Orleans Photo Alliance

About Jennifer Shaw:
Jennifer Shaw grew up in Milwaukee, studied photography at RISD, and settled in New Orleans in 1994. She teaches traditional darkroom photography at the Louise S. McGehee School and works as a fine art photographer. She is a founding officer and board member of the New Orleans Photo Alliance and chairs their annual PhotoNOLA festival. Jennifer's photographs have been featured in B&W Magazine, Shots, Light Leaks Magazine, The Oxford American and The Sun. Her works have been exhibited in the Huntsville Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

All camps meet Monday through Thursday (4 days) from 9:00am until 3:00pm
Doors will open at 8:30 am and close at 3:30 pm.

Students should bring a sack lunch.

Enrollment limited to 20 students per camp.
