Meet the artists Kathleen Hayek and GG Stankiewicz on Friday, July 30th, 6:00-8:00 PM when they talk about their show: TIME and PLACE, abstract prints and watercolors about Louisiana’s precious landscape and other American natural habitats created by two contemporary Brooklyn-based artists.
Kathleen Hayek grew up in southern Louisiana then moved to New York City in 1982 to complete her art studies at Parsons School of Design. Sh...e returns frequently to the Crescent City and environs to study the live oak trees dressed in their Spanish moss splendor and the delicate swamplands, which are powerfully depicted in her prints.
